IS IT FREE?

1. If you have Medicare, the standard type, then it is free to you.

2. If you have PPO health insurance then there is a $30 convenience fee.  We are waiving the deductible, co-pay, co-insurance.  

3. DO I NEED TO SEE THE DOCTOR FIRST?

1. Yes, there is a very brief telemedicine appointment required before we order the test.  

2. You will need either your smartphone, or a computer with camera and microphone, in order to have the appointment.

3. There is also a brief telemedicine appointment about a week later, after your test results are back.

4. Since you don't need to leave your home, we can test anyone in the continental US.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THAT?

1. After your telemedicine appointment, we fill in the lab form and fax or email it to them.  

2. Within a few hours, the lab will overnight FedEx the test swab to you.

3. You return the swab in a prepaid overnight FedEx box.

4. The results take on average one business day to be emailed back to you.

2. How do you have access to the lab?  I keep seeing on the news that there is a shortage of tests.  Answer:  The lab we work with, has the ability to perform many thousands of tests a day.   Please pass along this email.  We were fortunate enough to connect with the lab through one of our patients.

3. Is it a nose swab and are the instructions very clear so there is low risk for a regular person to swab incorrectly?   Answer: Yes, a nose swab.  We will send you video demos to watch.

5.  Can one who has COVID and recovers get it again?  Answer: Unknown.

6.  How many tests will insurance cover over the next year?  Answer: Right now there is no limit, but insurance companies have been known to change their rules every now and then.

7. What if I cannot email you a picture of my insurance cards.  Answer:  Sorry, we cannot help you.

8. What if I do not have a computer or smartphone with microphone and camera?   Answer: Sorry, we cannot help you.

9. What if I cannot do the swab myself?  Answer: Sorry, we cannot help you.

10. What if I have HMO or other insurance that you do not accept?   Answer: Sorry, we cannot help you.

11. What if I want to have a long discussion about my medical conditions?  Answer: Sorry, we cannot help you.

12. What if I can do everything but I'm not sure how to have a telemedicine visit?  Answer: We can help you before your appointment.
